On 13 October 2023, NMB Bank employees held a successful blood donation drive at the bank's headquarters in Harare. The drive was part of the bank's ‘We love to serve’ initiative.

‘We love to serve’ is an NMB drive in which employees take up an initiative they are passionate about. It is a way of insuring that as an organization we collaborate and all take an active part in making a difference in matters that are close to our hearts.

The blood donation drive was just one of many ways that NMB Bank is working to make a difference in our communities. NMB Bank is committed to being a good corporate citizen, and the blood donation drive is just one example of how the bank is working to make a positive impact on the communities it serves.

The donated blood will go a long way to save lives of those in need. The drive was a success thanks to the support of the bank's management team and the enthusiasm of its employees.

Why Blood Donation is Important

Blood donation is essential for saving lives. Every year, millions of people around the world need blood transfusions for a variety of reasons, including accidents, surgeries, and cancer treatments.

Did you know? A single blood donation can save up to three lives. That's why it's so important for people to donate blood regularly.

How to Donate Blood

Donating blood is a safe and easy process. It takes about an hour to donate a pint of blood.

To donate blood, you must be at least 18 years old, and be in good health. You must also bring a valid ID with you. You can call or visit the nearest National Blood Service Zimbabwe (NBSZ) near you for donation or ask your local medical centre.
