NMB Bank supports the Friends of Dzikwa Society, an organisation that provides hundreds of orphaned and vulnerable children in Harare’s Dzivarasekwa suburb with a hot meal every day and with training opportunities.
Most of the children who come to the centre are either from child headed families or are being looked after by elderly people with limited resources.
The work the Friends of Dzikwa Society does is truly amazing and deserves the support of NMB Bank. Not only does Dzikwa Activity Centre provide a cooked meal every day to hundreds of children who otherwise would probably go hungry but the centre has a well-equipped ICT classroom with rows of computers, where children can develop their computer skills.
The centre also provides training in cultural and artistic activities such as music, dance, drama, poetry and singing.
NMB Bank has also been a sponsor of the centre’s sports day and continues to donate groceries to this worthwhile cause.
