Brian Nyabadza

Qualifications and Experience: Master’s degree in Strategic Management, a CIMA qualification in Business Accounting, and a Certified Digital Finance Practitioner.

Brian has 10 years of responsible financial inclusion experience attained working for companies such as ZB Financial Holdings where he set up the Microfinance Unit between 2018 and 2022, Thrive Microfinance (Managing Director 2017-2019) has risen through the ranks since 2012. Brian is an alumnus of both the School of African Microfinance and the Boulder Institute of Microfinance. He has also completed a capstone project on instant and inclusive payment systems under the Level 1 project of the Gates Foundation. Brian understands what it takes to balance the social and financial objectives of microfinance in delivering acceptable shareholder value as well as positive sustainable social outcomes. He has previously served as Non-Executive Director for Chengetedzai Depository.
