Pearson Gowero

BSc (Economics) Hons from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.

Pearson Gowero is an experienced former executive with nearly 40 years spent in consumer-facing businesses. He initially held various positions in two leading Southern African Retail businesses specializing in clothing, footwear, textiles, and accessories. He joined Delta Corporation Limited (an associate of SABMiller Plc and now ABInBev) in 1997 with a significant interest in beverages including the Coca-Cola franchise; and held positions in Marketing, General Management, Sales and Distribution including a 5-year stint as Country Managing Director (Zambia and Malawi) for SABMiller Africa. He assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer, Delta Corporation in June 2012 and retired on 30 June 2021. He has sat on various boards of listed companies and subsidiaries and associates of the Delta group as well as being a member of the National Council for The Confederation of Zimbabwe Industries since 2012. He is currently a non-executive director of SeedCo Zimbabwe Limited, SeedCo International Limited (Botswana) and Zambeef Products Limited (Zambia). Pearson holds a BSc (Economics) Hons from the University of Zimbabwe and a Master’s in Business Leadership from the University of South Africa.
