Artwell Mamvura

Mr. Mamvura is a seasoned technology and digital transformation leader with extensive experience in banking, fintech, and enterprise innovation. He specializes in designing scalable, secure, and innovative systems while driving strategic technology initiatives that deliver measurable business impact. He joined NMB Bank Zimbabwe in August 2019 as Digital Transformation and Innovation Manager and was appointed Head of Technology Services in July 2022. In this role, he leads the Bank’s technology strategy across Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, product engineering, and AI/ML and data science. 

Prior to NMB Bank, Mr. Mamvura worked at Steward Bank Zimbabwe and Hitrac, a USAID-funded health technology project. His earlier career includes system development and fintech consulting across Zambia, Tanzania, Angola, and Mozambique, providing him with broad regional expertise. Key achievements under his leadership include automation of core banking processes through RPA, modernization of technology platforms, and optimization of the Bank’s core systems to enhance efficiency, security, and innovation. 

Mr. Mamvura is pursuing a Master of Computer Science (Software Engineering, Big Data & AI) at the University of East London (UK), holds an MBA from the University of Zimbabwe, and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Midlands State University (MSU). He also holds certifications in software development, governance, software testing, and internet banking security.
