We are excited to announce that we have introduced automated Telegraphic Transfers (TT) processing for our corporate clients through NMB Connect Online. This move is in our continued pursuit to drive client convenience and improve their experience. The following FAQs

Telegraphic Transfers.

  • 1. Who is eligible to use Telegraphic Transfers (TTs)?

    TTs are currently available only to corporate clients registered on NMB Connect Online (Internet Banking).

  • 2. What are Telegraphic Transfers used for?

    TTs facilitate international payments such as supplier payments, offshore obligations, and service fees.

  • 3. How can I initiate a Telegraphic Transfer?
    1. Log in to NMB Connect Online
    2. Go to Transfers
    3. Select Telegraphic Transfer
    4. Complete the form
    5. Upload supporting PDFs
    6. Submit
    7. Authorizers approve the transaction
    8. Submitted for processing at the bank
  • 4. What types of documents must be uploaded?

    Invoice, proforma invoice, C01 form, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill.

  • 5. Can I track the status of a submitted TT?

    Yes. On a successfully approved TT:

    1. Click on the Check Status button in line with the TT application on NMB Connect Online
    2. Alternatively provide your TT reference number to your Relationship Manager to check the status on your behalf.
  • 6. How long does it take to process a TT?

    Typically 1–3 business days, depending on documentation completeness, authorization, and currency corridors.

  • 7. Who do I contact if my TT is delayed or queries arise?

    Contact your Corporate Relationship Manager.

  • 8. Are there plans to enable Telegraphic Transfers or mobile for retail users?

    Yes. In Connect 2.0, TT will be extended to retail customers and made available on mobile banking platforms.

  • 9. How many authorizers are required per TT?

    Authorization of your TT follows your configured signing arrangement for Internet Banking.
